Art Gallery of NSW Cafe

In early 2020, I was commissioned by designer Emma Ross to create custom artwork for the café at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Inspired by Japanese tiles, I developed a series of hand-painted pots designed for both indoor and outdoor spaces alongside a painted tile wall, bringing a sense of calm energy into the environment.
Earthy, subtle and textural, the work plays with repetition and restraint, using a pared-back palette to create softness and flow.
Still in place today, this one-of-a-kind artwork installation was created to quietly animate the café and invite a moment of pause.
